Hanari: Three Masks — Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026

Who we are

Hanari: Three Masks is made and published by Hanari Games LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the game as sold on Steam, including its optional Twitch features.

Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected].

The short version. The game sends nothing to us. There is no account with us, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

What the game keeps on your computer

None of this leaves your computer, except your save when Steam Cloud is on (see Steam, below).

Steam

The game talks to Steam through the Steam client on your computer. We receive none of this. Valve handles it under the Steam Privacy Policy.

Twitch (optional)

Twitch features run between your computer and Twitch; we receive none of it. Twitch handles what reaches it under the Twitch Privacy Notice. Hanari: Three Masks is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.

Chat Takeover without logging in. You type your channel name and the game joins your chat read-only, as a guest. It reads messages only to count votes ("1", "2", "3", "W", "L") and how many different people are chatting. Messages are never stored, shown on screen or sent anywhere. Viewers' names are never shown during votes.

Twitch login. Logging in is optional and adds features on your own channel. You approve it on Twitch's own page (twitch.tv/activate), so the game never sees your Twitch password. It asks Twitch for these permissions:

Twitch permissionWhat the game uses it for
Send chat messages (user:write:chat)Post short results in your chat, as you, when you turn that on
Read followers (moderator:read:followers)Celebrate new follows on screen
Manage channel point rewards (channel:manage:redemptions)Add the game's own rewards, then complete or refund redemptions (Affiliate and Partner channels)
Manage polls (channel:manage:polls)Run boss votes as Twitch polls
Manage predictions (channel:manage:predictions)Start a win/lose prediction before a fight
Read Bits (bits:read)React to cheers
Read subscriptions (channel:read:subscriptions)React to subs and gift subs

While you're logged in, Twitch tells the game about events on your channel: follows, raids, cheers, subs, gift subs, reward redemptions, and your poll and prediction results. These events include the viewer's display name. The game shows names only if you turn SHOW NAMES on (it's off by default), and never stores them.

The login key is encrypted by your operating system and kept in the game's data folder. Where no secure store exists (some Linux setups), the login lasts only until you close the game. LOG OUT removes or hides the game's rewards, ends its poll or prediction, cancels the key with Twitch and deletes it from your computer. You can also disconnect the game in your Twitch settings under Connections.

What we don't do

Children

The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Steam and Twitch set their own minimum ages for their accounts and features.
